nice. i just got my ccbbe 0610 but with what i got, it wont let me past 305x9 stable =( ... think ima sell it for someone to make it more useful since my 3700+ is doing 2750 too.

Seems to me like it's not worth the extra 100 mhz from 2.7 to 2.8. Bench marked it and the difference is very little...I had to increase vdimm to 2.8 from stock.. .and 1.42 vcore from stock....

if stable @ 2.7ghz, i'm gonna stick with it.. Damn, still trying to get my other 1G of ram to work..... Why does AMD systems do this?

That's odd I been running my sli setup @108 for months with zero problems...I get like close to 96,000 in aqua mark and close to 3,000 in 3dmark06 with 6600gt's....

On track with the four sticks of ram...I can run four sticks in my rig ...but it costs me....I lose my tighter timings...All my voltages have to be increased , therefore stressing the whole system more, And I have to run a divider of 133 versus 166 with 2x512...So it can be done but the cost of performance outweighs any gains

was about to say, nvidia doesn't have any problems running higher PCI-e bus. i've ran a few friends 7800gtx computers w/ 107 for awhlie.

with AMD its not worth the performance loss by running 4 sticks of memory.

boy..and i thought it was only me.. like i said.. for me, i had to up'ed the vdimm to 2.8, and dropped the fsb to 270x9... will not go anywhere above that with 512x4.... with 512x2, i can do 300x9.. I had to make use of the other 512x2..so had to sacrifice my overclock for it ..stupid memory controller....

could it be the mobo too? i can run 512x4 in my asrock dual sataII without any changed to the vdimm @ all...

yea sometimes mobo affects performance. but for the most part, amd mobos just don't like the 4 sticks.

all stock Vcore and vdimm..
The CCBBE doesn't like to run stable at high clock speeds at temps over 45°C. You'll most likely not get much higher than 2.8Ghz with temps above 45°C.
You can put more voltage to it than 1.4 to get high clocks, BUT, you will HAVE to cool it better. Get an aftermarket cooler if you haven't got one. Freezer 64 pro is a good cooler on the cheap, or the Big Typhoon if you have the money and patience.

Since when does the PCIe clock speed kill an Nvidia card and not an ATI?
I ran two 6600GT's in Sli for a year with the PCIe up to 120! As has been said, it rocks your 3Dmark score.
Upping the PCIe clock though usually only gives a benefit with Sli and a mobo that gives each card 8x when in Sli. Thus the faster speed helps. Doesn't help much if you're using one or two cards at full 16x.
Otherwise, for some reason, it just helps stabilize a high overclock by upping it a bit.
Where'd you get your information from, huh? You think that you can front when revelation comes? Yeah!

Actually, the San Diegos are the only cores that can utilize 4 DIMM's of RAM. The mobo may not be liking it.
