Hi guys first ill give you what i have.

i5 4670k
Msi GD-65 gaming
TX650M
8gb gskill with 1600
Corsair h100 refurbished
GPU dilemma

I would like to mention first that im moding my case and planning to enter the world of water cooling.

Now is it worth to get Msi gtx760 TF or 670 TF? Not going to get the 770 because it will suck the HP of my budget. Or is there any better cards preferably msi brand to keep things msi. Would it void the warranty if i added the msi gpu to the waterloop?

Just get a 770 classified and overclock it, no need for water unless you are seriously overclocking or hate the sound of fans (which shouldnt be very loud)

OP if you are going to spend £400 wait till oct 15th and check out the R9 290. its not worth watercooling if the stock coolers are good for high overclocks.

if you want to get the best card below £300

http://www.ebuyer.com/419457-asus-hd7970-p-3gb-gddr5-dual-dvi-hdmi-displayport-pci-e-graphics-card-matrix-hd7970-p-3gd5

if you prefer nvidia

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-msi-gtx-680-twin-frozr-oc-pcie-30-%28x16%29-6008mhz-gddr5-gpu-1006mhz-boost-1058mhz-cores-1536-dp-dv

both these cards have excellent coolers. the asus hd 7970 matrix platinum is a beast. fantastic triple slot cooler. very quiet. destroys the GTX 760, faster than GTX 670 and on par with GTX 680 OC / GTX 770 OC.

£400 is my budget for GPU and the water cooling loop for it.

i was going to get the asus 7970 since you cant go wrong with ROG but the new amd cards have a new feature so i might get either one

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-msi-radeon-radeon-r9-280x-gaming-3g-28nm-6000mhz-gddr5-gpu-1000mhz-boost-1050mhz-2048-streams-hd

or

no idea about the real world performance of this two but i can wait patiently when the cards arrive and probably you get it and review it thumb.gif
if the cheaper performs well ill take it. its about £80 gap.

thanks for replies..

OP you are misinformed. R9 280x is just a HD 7970 at 1 ghz. R9 270X is just a HD 7870 at 1.05 ghz with memory at 5.6 ghz. there are no new features like TruAudio in both of these chips. your best option is to get a ASUS HD 7970 Matrix Platinum (1.1 ghz) for £222 . unbeatable price and amazing value. thumb.gif

ek has water blocks for the matrix hd 7970.
