Ghosting (?) Issue w/ 27" Cinema Display

So, I started noticing this maybe a couple days ago, but in certain color shades, I have this weird band on the right side of my screen. I have no idea how it got here, but I'm assuming it has to do with the panel as it's not in the glass. I've added a picture below with the glass taken out. Using a 50% gray fill.

The image turned itself couterclockwise for some reason, it's the right orientation in the original.

I've had this for 2 years now, no issues with it until now. It's been mainly in the same spot since I got it. Think I moved it off my desk maybe 15 times since I've owned it. I'm not even close in the market right now to buy a new display, so I just wanted a couple thoughts on how this could of happened. I did have a hard drive dock near the bottom of the screen there for quite some time, but I don't think that could cause something like that as the magnets in the hard drive are nowhere near that. To me, it almost looks like some sort of water damage, but I can't see it when the screen is lit up pure white or pure black.

Anyone have a suggestion on what could of caused this?

As a quick update, it seems the weird ghosting thing has almost faded away. Can faintly see it now, but still, anyone have any idea what could of caused that?

Hmmm... good question. Seems like you have it somewhat disassembled already, so apply some light pressure with a dry compress.... Or leaving it on with a blank white screen for a few days... That or a pixel program like jscreenfix or LCD scub.

Best of luck
