It happens more frequently in some games like Dishonored and Civ 5, and in others it doesn't happen at all (such as NFS:U2). It also happens when I launch chrome/firefox or when I start a YT video. I reinstalled windows and I've tried plenty of different driver versions and nothing has solved the problem, so I'm beginning to think that it is the card.

I'm prepared to go out and buy a new GPU as the latest games are getting a bit much for SLI 460s and I'm fed up with the stability issues of a dual GPU setup, but I would like to be able to hold out for Maxwell and 290X price cuts. So is there some sort of diagnostics program I can run to check for problems with the card? I've tried benchmarks/stress tests and not all of them cause crashes.
