I am not saying the graphics are horrible, although I cant say they are very great after playing BF4, but they are no where near 20 some GB good. What the hell is all that for? I also dont like most of the maps. They just seem like little clusterf**ks with no flow.

All that said, has anyone noticed that the fps is capped at 90 yet it lets me set my refresh rate to 144Hz? I would love to get some use out of my fancy monitor

I've been searching the files for a way to uncap the framerate. No such luck yet. I don't get why they cap the fps at 90... Really screws over us 120hz+ people

The difference from 90 to 120 is less noticeable than from 60 to 90 so it's not that big of a deal. 90 still feels butter smooth.

I believe there were 3rd party tools that allowed you to do it before and I'm sure they'll get made at some point for Ghosts.

90 would feel way better than 60...if your monitor refresh rate was set to 90. If the fps is off from what your refresh rate is set to it is still not going to feel right. Hence, 90 fps still feels like poop when my monitor is trying to eat them at 144Hz. Unfortunately i cannot set my monitor to 90Hz, its 144-120-100-60-59. I just cant understand why they would give us the option to set the refresh rate to 144, 125, etc in game but then limit the fps to 90. Someone wasnt thinking.

IIRC they did that in MW3, too. There was a way to uncap in mw2, blops, and mw3. However, they hotfixed it in mw3.

It's been said somewhere it's because of the engine that they cap it.

Set your refresh to 120hz (my benq only does 120) and then 90 should feel fine. I see no need for 144 anyway. I haven't had any problems at 120hz.

Also with Nvidia cards you can force the monitor to try and achieve whatever refresh/res you want, and I'm sure you could set it to 90 that way if you wanted as well.

It's because of the quake engine. Setting it to 125fps would be ideal. Now just to see if we can actually change it in the command line.

You can't just force any refresh rate on any monitor in the nvidia control panel. My monitor can only be forced to 65hz max.

That's because you have a 60hz monitor. But you could, if you wanted, set your 60hz monitor to 40hz for example.

Same thing with a 120hz or 144hz monitor. I can set mine to 112hz, 79hz, 24hz if I wanted to.

If for some reason the monitor doesn't support it, obviously it wouldn't work. But any refresh lower than the factory default should be totally possible.

Of course you can set it lower. But why would you want to?
