Help With New Computer

Hello, I recently built my own PC and finally yesterday windows 7 arrived. i installed it and it worked fine. I put all my games on it and even played some. During this time i even restarted the computer for a few updates. However today when i went to go on it it took very long to load and then came up with so text saying the files couldn't be read and suggested i restart the computer. I did this and it said i should run a repair checker. I did this and it looked like windows was loading but then the input to the monitor said it was disconnected even though i didn't touch the PC. Finally i shut it down and turned it on again. Now it is repair checking my system but it has been over 20 mins and its still attempting repairs.

What could this be?

1) Bad install of Windows

2) Bad hard drive

3) Bad motherboard
