$250 for a A9 CPU and Mali-400 GPU? Sorry to say, and you can disagree all you want, but $250 is wayyy too much.

The Shield is $50 more and has a Tegra 4 SoC and MUCH better controls and I'm sure build quality. The Nexus 2013 is cheaper and has a 1200p screen and Snapdragon S4 Pro. The Vita is roughly the same price (and about to be $50 cheaper with the new model) and actually has AAA games that are on par with the consoles in both graphics and controls (seriously Uncharted and AC3 look AMAZING!).

So yeah...$250? Get real. Especially with the hardware that's in this thing...that's my biggest complaint. For $250 I would expect, at the very least, a Adreno 320 or SGX544MP3 or better. The Mali-400 is genuinely slow at this point.

Here's GLBenchmark 2.7...notice the Note 2 scores vs. something like the HTC One with it's Snapdragon 600:

Sooooooo yeah...not even out yet and already wayyy behind the times.

Good job Archos, yet another loser on your hands...seriously, how do these guys stay in business? I mean, they're making a GAMING tablet for a somewhat premium price yet putting in slow and aged hardware...wut??

And again...$250! LOL! rolleyes.gif
