This is what you assume. You can mock my views as a "subject" of laughing matter all you want, but we all know how assumptions end.
I have nothing against new games as long as they are made well. Most games are not created with the same degree of ingenuity one would see years back (which is a fact by the way; take a look at work put into games back when in comparison to games built now).
As for the nostalgia aspect. If it doesn't feel like the old games, or is barely related, do NOT make it a next instalment
. Call it "Thief: Shadow Dancer," etc. These are why spinoff's were invented to begin with. This is one main issue I have with Thief 4... It doesn't feel AS fun (had a go at it @ E3), sure the visuals are nice, but the story, Characters, environment are nothing at all like the last.
(e.g.) Capcom/Ninja Theory had the decency to at least title the next Devil May Cry instalment/reboot as "DmC" instead of "Devil May Cry 5."Edited by H3XUS - 10/9/13 at 3:22pm
