3rd vs 4th Gen CPU

Hey guys. Sorry if this has been posted already.

I can't decide between 3rd gen and 4th gen I5. Here in South Africa, the i5-3570 is around R150 ($15) cheaper than the I5-4670 ($265). I'm not sure of it'd be better with 3rd gen because there is more choice of Lga1155 motherboards, or getting 4th gen just because it's newer.

Appreciate replies! Thanks

Performance wise there is very little difference between 3rd gen (ivy bridge) and 4th gen (Haswell), certainly nothing you would notice outside a benchmark. Since there's so little separating them, you may as well just go for what's newest. Also, Haswell has a really great range of motherboards.
