Phillyd, I'm not going to tell you how to do your job, but as someone who used to do "social media" for a living... you're doing it wrong.
I support PPCs, in this situation the customer is a guy who expected you to replace a product after having it for over a year. In most other situations that I've read, the customer was mistaken about your role with the products and their quality. I understand you guys are not Newegg, you don't have the resources to just take people's word for things, and your policies reflect that.
As for a customer having a say in someone being fired, they absolutely have the right to suggest it. I read some of your customer service representatives responses to some people and they are not tactful in the slightest, whether they were in the right or not, it's not professional. I would agree with him and suggest that they be disiplined or removed. It's bad business to allow someone representing your company to treat customers in such a manor.
I apologize that you're in a bad spot here, especially since anyone with sense can see that the OP was not right to assume your company would replace the product he bought from you over a year ago. I'd watch your wording carefully, as in this forum you ARE the face of Performance-PCs.com.
