Dead keys on my Prized G15v1 after cleaning PLEASE HELP

So last night I decided to completely take apart my g15 to release one of the macro buttons. i love this keyboard and have had it for probably around 6 years now. I decide while I'm at it I might as well wash underneath the keys.
So i took all the keys off and took merely the plastic key tray and washed it in the sink with hot water. I thoroughly dried it with a paper towel going between all the crevices and every keyhole then wash each individual key on the sides of the keys just by rubbing them with paper towel and wiping them off on my jeans which probably took me a good hour and a half at least.

I reassembled the whole thing and everything works except for like the whole trace with the I key and 1 other trace(I forget which one) so i broke out my multimeter to test the traces. the funny thing is the trace seems fine whenever I take a resistance measurement on it all the way up to the tongue. Can't figure out how to measure any of the traces on the tongue/finger of the ribbon capable even on the working traces. So I'm baffled here as to what to do. I really don't know what could be wrong and LOVE this keyboard, it's served me through like 6 years of heavy use i haven't hide even the slightest paint wear on it that others had on their g15v1s. Anybody have any ideas as to what I could do, I'd appreciate any input.

key tray(idk what to call it) the i cleaned before and after cleaning

Are you sure the trace is making contact? It might be time for an upgrade.biggrin.gif

Looking at getting a K95 or a G710+ right now. Thinking cherry browns would probably be best for my first mechanical so I'm leaning towards the G710+ but i like that the k95 is aluminum and that is doesn't have the orange thing around the macros.
Yeah I'm pretty damn sure. I've tested the trace repeatedly and get a low resistance readout every time. Is there a way I could test it against the solder points on the PCB the membrane goes into you think? I've tried it on the contacts of the connector and against working traces and haven't gotten it to work.

I kind of doubt it, the key traces usually go to a small controller board which you'll be unable to measure any contact then. I used to have a cheap roll-up rubber trace keyboard and when it broke I took it apart and gutted it open like a fish. I was messing with the layer contacts and I couldn't ever get it working properly after the two layers were removed from each other and then putting them back together. I wouldn't bother to try salvaging it as rubber domes don't last forever. You could always buy a used/new G15 V2 on eBay if you really loved it that much but mechanical keys are really popular right now so it's up to you.

I ordered a G710+ on amazon but still want to get this thing working, having a G15v2 wouldn't be the same. I just want my G15v1 to work properly be clean frown.gif
