Low Profile HSF for low airflow i3 mini-itx system??

I need a low profile HSF for an i3 4130 min-itx build. This is being put into an 8-bay NAS enclosure where the only fans are two 120mm fans in back of the hard drive exhausted air out the back of the case. The motherboard sits in a side pocket with basically no airflow at all. I don't expect my CPU to get much usage as this is just a dedicated storage device but still considering that there is almost no airflow I'm concerned about my CPU/MB overheating. Any good recommendations for this kind of setup?

Here is my case.

Why wouldn't the stock Intel cooler work? I've done two HTPC builds in a Lian Li PC-Q27 case which is passively cooled. The stock cooler works just fine with temperatures only about 5C above ambient room temperatures. Since it's an NAS build you probably are not concerned about installing a GPU and some coolers for mITX boards can encroach on the PCIe slot. Some low profile HSFs are not much better than the stock Intel cooler although they are quieter (example here is the Noctua NH-L9i). My suggestion would be to try out the stock cooler first and see how it works after all it's free.thumb.gif

Did you click on the link in the OP? The stock Intel cooler won't fit in my case.

I now see what you mean. I couldn't see a specification sheet on the measurements between the MoBo mounting area and the case shell. Do you know what the clearance is? Intel stock cooler is 50mm tall. The Silverstone NT07-1156 is 37mm tall and when I was researching this I couldn't find anything smaller than that.
