Well considering 1st generation i7's still pump out playable frames at stock for the AAA titles im sure you will be fine with the 2600k

You'll be fine. Consoles are the fixed target for games. GPU wise, things change, but CPU wise, games will always have to fit within the performance envelope of the consoles.

If anything, performance will only increase now since MORE of your CPU will be utilized instead of just the 2 or 4 threads that games have been limited to.

Fine for ages.

The jump rom i7 920 to 2600k was worth it, but the difference from 260k to 4770k was like 10-15% at best. No need to upgrade whatsoever.

So if i get a deal i shouldn't miss it, and after intel release new CPUs and DDR4 i will think about better upgrade

From a i7 2600k to a i7 broadwell/i5 2500k to a i5 broadwell there will be a 25-30% diff in cpu performance (probably i5 broadwell will perform as good as i7 4770k)
