Clash of the 990FX mobos! $100-150 - Page 2

Yeah I can't say it's quite as good looking as the Formula, but I had a Sabertooth before I got the Formula and it's an awesome board that certainly looks better than most others.

I'd go with the ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX and the AMD FX-8350 or AMD FX-8320 depending one whichever processor you can afford.

So its finally happened. The little bastard went Intel fanboy on my backside.

He says he wants to compare intel vs amd. So hes aiming at a 4770k. I tried to explain that a 965BE vs a 4770k is sort of a bad comparison but hes rock solid on going intel.

Guess its an MSI Gaming GD-43/65 would go great with the red/black theme. Still dont think "My friends say that AMD sucks and Intel is much better" is a good enough argument : /.

nothing wrong with going intel, i5 and i7 are arguably better. I'm on an AMD stage at the minute due to the fact that I don't think a processor makes that much of a difference and would rather spend the money I save getting AMD and spend it on a GFX or water cooling. That was coming from a Q6600 when the core duo had a huge advantage over the AMD single processer chip. Before the core duo I was running AMD. Do your research and pick whatever chip is suited to you and don't worry about it.
