Just use DMM to measure it.

And infact, most boards actually have very little variation between the reported voltage and actual voltage, the AsRock Z77 series is the first known to have such a big gap between the actual voltage and what the motherboard reports.

The safest way is always to ise a multimeter to get the correct numbers (although that is always a lot easier on top end boards that have multimeter ports).

Also, as long as you watch the temps closely with a full load (just whatever the hardest program you use regularly is. I use Bonic to check the temps), then the voltage is not going to make a large difference (unless you are running 1.5+ V, which you won't be at 4.6 unless you are running a Core 2). Try to keep the temps below 80* (You are likely safe higher, but the cooler the better and the longer the chip will last).

but i'm afraid if i use a multimeter i might short something , i already have a multi meter ....

You can find the points here http://www.overclock.net/t/1360404/asrock-z77-series-vcore-reading

I have shorted them countless of times and no issues.

There is little chance of doing any major damage. There is a thread for how to do it on the E4 (which should work with the E6 too) here. http://www.overclock.net/t/1373953/measuring-cpu-voltage-with-dmm-how

Here is a video on a gigabyte board, but should show how it is done.

You won't short anything unless you connect pins on the board together, or use current setting for measuring voltage on the multimeter lol (never connect ammeter in parallel).
