True. The X850 is a beast of a card. It beats out the 7600GT by almost 300 points in 3DM05. http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards....1=385&card2=59

I know its the PCI-e version of the 7600, but they perform about the same.

yeh but the x850xt pe loses to the 7600gt by 600 pionts in 3d mark 2006 and it cant do pixel shader 3.0 and as for modern games the 7600gt beats it by about 10 fps in open gl games doom 3, quake4 etc and matches it in all other games, infact it about 2-3 fps faster in them to...this link
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1983

has all the game and 3dmark scores for both cards and it shows the 7600gt only gets beet by the 7800gt-x1800xl and up cards and they are alot more expensive

save a few more and get a higher end card.

I did the same as you, went and just got a 7600GT when i could have saved up $40 more and got the 7900GS. This XFX 7600GT xXx is insane, 770/1.72 with a voltmod and a FS-V7 was not to shabbeh, brought my 3dmark06 score from 3400 to 4200

I'd get the Sapphire X1300XT because it has a X1600 Core. And is very nice for the price.

I've overclocked the core from 500MHZ to 630 No problems.

You can get it for 79.99$ on newegg. Give it a shot.. the reviews are extreme.

Or I can sell you mine, brand new. Ive had it for 35+ days and it works great.
