The ASUS M5A97 series board will work well with that 6300 for light to moderate gaming. If you want to go higher end on your board, you can go with a 990 chipset board like ASUS M5A99FX Pro or EVO. Gigabyte also has really good boards for the AM3+ chipset. Are you planning on doing any overclocking to the rig or just building an as is?

I would suggest against purchasing any of the Bulldozer series (41xx, 61xx, or 81xx) as they run hot and don't work as well as the Piledriver series (43xx,63xx,83xx). I would go 6300 with an ASUS M5A99X EVO board. (or an equivalent Gigabyte board would work well as well)

Hope this helps. thumb.gif
