I have yet to encounter such dips.

Oh. I guess I'm totally in the wrong then in thinking that there are framerate issues.

Spring starts March 19/21, technically it is Q1 as it's within the 3rd month of the year; assuming they do release it IN March.

Not saying I haven't enjoyed the game, but I can very easily tell when the game drops below 30fps, and it's quite often. Believe me I appreciate how much this game has for the hardware it's on. The only point I've been bringing up all along is that people that say the PC version only has better visuals are just wrong; it can offer more than double the framerate, and at around 4.5x the resolution. That's it.

I had a chance to do a quick playthrough on the xbox version thanks to a family member. I don't know if it was the framerate or the lack of AA combined with staring at the horizon most of the time but this is the only game I've ever played that caused me physical discomfort. After about an hour or two of play I'd have trouble keeping my eyes open (like I was looking up at a bright sky) and when I did close them there was this stinging sensation like they were dry. I don't own an xbox and I haven't played any other 360 games so I can't say if this is unique to GTAV or merely a console phenomenon. The game definitely had issues maintaining 30FPS though, I can back you up on that.

[The story was certainly better than the other two GTA's I've played (SA/IV) and was backed up by top-notch voice acting. The visual were also quite nice...too bad the driving sucked. (Just thought I'd get that out there in case any rabid GTA fanboys are reading this thread.)]
