[HELP] Optimize my CPU clock voltage

Thread Starter
Hello overclockers, I have been trying to overclock my i7 760 D0 and was wondering if I'm doing something wrong because the max temp is 74C, that is pretty high for me. I am running a watercooling setup with a 480mm radiator. I am looking for a lower temp setup (might even consider underclock). I just want to optimize the clock and see the result if I can live with that or not.

Here are my settings:

You're seeing 74c at stock speed? Sounds like there's something wrong with your wc loop.

Hi I believe stock speed is 3.2 GHz with 1.29Voltage

1.29 is way higher than stock vcore, people get 4ghz on less with d0's from my limited knowledge

@Cyro999 I know, most stock voltages are not optimized, I am running 3.6GHz with 1.23 Voltage, and it is still hitting 74C.

I ran a 1st gen Nehalem with air cooling at higher voltage and clock than that and never exceeded 70c. There's something going on with your watercooling.

The high temp on this speed is probably due to multi-threading, it does add about 10C. However I will also take a look at my loop in the mean time.
