Shortest 7950/7970/280x models

Hey

My case has about 26-26.5 cm GPU space. I will measure it tomorrow exactly.
My current HD5850 (24cm) is a tight fit, but that's because of power extending it's length...

Therefore I'm looking for a 7950/7970/280x models not longer than ~26.5cm.
MSI R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC is the shortest I found so far, but it is kinda expensive in my country. I am monitoring it's price though.

I have already considered a GTX 760, but value per dollar is considerably worse. It is much smaller though - the model I'm interested in is 20cm long smile.gif

Are you saying your power cables currently jet out the back of the card? (Towards the hard drive carriage?)

the recent GPUs have the power cables on the side of the GPUs.

Also what case do you have

Yes, exactly. There is around 26,5cm space there

Yes I know. Otherwise there would be no chance to fit any 7950 card or higher

well the route I personally woould take, is if you're not actually using those 3.5" bays at the bottom that are getting in your way, get out a dremel and cut one of the sides away. It's rare for folks to need 6 spare hard drive bays these days, and it would give you the room to put whatever you wanted to in there.
