3DMark says I have 3 cards when I'm actually only using 2

Okay, so if this is a stupid question I'm sorry. I'm still new to the whole overclocking and benchmarking thing.

I'm in the middle of a new build but for kicks I just ran my current PC which did 99% better than other PC's on FireStrike
which is surprising to me.. lol

It's a Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition overclocked to 3,702 MHz with 2 way SLI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690's.

No OC on the ram or cards.. but for some reason the results on 3DMark say I'm running 3 cards. What am I not getting?

thanks

I have read a couple things with 3DMARK reading wrong like ram speed cpu speed number of cores etc etc, I believe it doesnt affect the score it is just an error in reading. Otherwise have you tried reinstalling?

The reading on 3DMark doesn't bother me it's just that I have wondered for months why my Nvidia Control Panel says I'm running
3-way SLI when I have two cards. Something is setup wrong somewhere and I can't seem to find where to change it. Or am I seeing this wrong?

I'm running 1 monitor and unfortunately I'm out of town for the weekend and can't see the device manager. But if I remember correctly I think it showed 4 for some reason

Well, if its sli 690s it should show 4 cards.
