I'd get an Asus P5B-Deluxe (Non-WiFi) Socket LGA775 P965 Motherboard instead and a Tuniq Tower, Big Typhoon, Zalman 9700, or Thermalright Ultra-120 as a CPU Cooler. Ram all depends on your budget and the rest looks really good.

I wouldn't go for a Raptor. They're fast, yes, but the Seagate 7200.10 series with Perpendicular Recording technology are almost as fast with much more storage. You get more GB for your dollar

well i have a 250 gig and a 160 gig sata (160 i use for external)

hopefully it boots up without any problems?

for ram, i can save 300-400$ in a month and go for some thing good, and then i will overclock my cpu.

also, how is the psu? think it'll handle a single 8800 for future ;D

True

I might have to get myself a 7200.10 at some point. Along with a new case, cooler, sound card, headphones.. good god I need some upgrades.. lol.

I only get about £15 a week as well! I have £130 saved up though. But I need to pay £35 or so to get out 4mbps internet connection set up So that's alright.

But on-topic now.

That PSU should be enough to handle a single 8800, but I'm not too sure. It all depends on the amps available on the 12v rail.

I know for sure that the PC Power and Cooling range have high amps on that 12v rail

EDIT: What am I on about, lol, I didn't see that it was a GameXtreme. For some reason I saw Antec TruePower 550w or something.

That PSU should be fine. Absolutely fine.

I would sell your two drives that you own, and with the money you make off of those plus the money you were going to spend on a Raptor I'd get 2x250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 16MB Hard Disk Drives with Perpendicular Recording Technology and place them in Raid 0. You'll out perform a Raptor and have close to 490GB of space after everything is formated with Windows XP installed.
Or even just one 320GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 and keep your other drives you'd be running very nicely, then would you get everything transfered to the Seagate you sell your other drives.
