Want to spend some money ;] advice/help please

Hey all so got a little money to spend as one of my other projects fell through so mad.gif

Anyways current gaming rig is in my sig...I mostly game on this computer as I have a workstation already.

Im contemplating on wether to sell my z87/4770k and switch to a 4930k???

Would this be pointless?? Im wanting to get the extra cores for such as battlefield 4 and some other games?

Or should I keep my 4770k and get another 780?

I currently run 2560x1440 @ 120hz and average about 75-110 in battlefield 4 with gtx 780 at 1300mhz

Thanks all and sorry for my poor word structuring thumb.gif

Totes go for the extra 780!

You will get some performance boost by going over to Ivy-E, but honestly the 4770k will chew multithreaded games for a good while still. With a second 780 you will probably be able to keep a stable MINIMUM framerate of 120 biggrin.gif

Yes it would be pointless, don't bother.

A second 780 would be nice and give a great boost in performance. Also that would make more use of your 860w psu which isn't even getting pushed to 500w atm

You're doing fine on your post, don't worry biggrin.gif

In exact same boat as you, provided funding comes soon redface.gif

I'd go with another GTX780 rather to really push those frames. Running 1440p is no joke and really requires GPU power, especially at 120Hz if you wish to maintain such frames on average.

I'm interested to see how performance is once official game gets released.
