Play Uncharted 1 or skip? - Page 2

The 2nd has the best story but 1 & 3 are good games as well. I like playing through the whole series every once in a while cuz they are all great games.

My opinion
Among Thieves > Drake's Fortune > Drake's Deception
2nd was the best mix of narrative and gameplay, while the first offered a nice introduction to likable characters and a pretty engaging story. The third to me was a bit-too movie like for my taste, but I won't discredit how beautiful it was.
I wouldn't skip any, and if I had the option, I'd still play them in order simply to see the progression of the storyline. thumb.gif

I've played each game in the trilogy once. I liked 2 by far the most, and 3 the least. IMO The first was a nice intro to the series, had decent game play, and a decent story. The second looked better, had the best story, and the best game play. The third definitely looked the best, had an OK story, and frustrating game play (due to the waves of enemies that the OP mentioned, along with the fact that the enemies were often bullet sponges). I would suggest you play all three. If you're only going to play two of them, I would suggest 1 & 2.

Yeah I'm gonna go for the trilogy and start with one. I just didn't always see people recommending one or three so was just wondering what you guys thought and it looks like it is worth my time thumb.gif

If you are just starting the series you REALLY OUGHT to play it. Parts of the story in 2 are best understood from seeing how the character relationships build in 1. Additionally you will appreciate the graphical improvements a lot more.

Plus its a really good enjoyable game. Still own my original copy and I can easily play it thru with cut-scenes to this day.
