The NF-F12 is much more suited towards CPU coolers though. Then there's the NF-S12 which provides great airflow but low static pressure. The NF-P12 seems like it's in between both of those which sounds like exactly what I need.

Yeah, never fully disregard static pressure for case fans. The grill/mesh/dust filters which are next to your case fans still bring considerable resistance into the equation. You can have all the CFM you want, but static pressure is what is going to ensure your fans are actually capable of pulling/pushing air through the material, rather than getting trapped on the other side.

This will be particularly important with your Hadron case, as the holes/grill in the roof aren't that large in diameter, meaning static pressure will aid you in moving the air through it

Thanks. smile.gif I'm a little confused now. Comparing the NF-F12 specs to the NF-P12 specs, the F12 actually gets higher airflow along with having a higher static pressure. So is the P12 basically just obsolete or is there such thing as too much static pressure?

Nah there's no such thing really. The P12 is indeed a better fan overall (it's a newer design), so if you can find it at the same price as the F12, get it. However, the difference isn't huge either, so if you can find the F12 cheaper somewhere, it might be the better option

Wait, you switched F12 and P12 around right?

Alright good. biggrin.gif I think I'll go with F12s then. Thank you.

The stock fan for the cooler you do not need to change. The difference in temp with not be noticed. They are PWM 300-1600RPM range.
NF-P12 has been around a long time. NF-F12 is a newer direct airflow design. Both are close, while the F12 has higher SP, as it was designed for that.

Either one will do fine for a case fan, also the other Noctua 120mm fans will work well too.
