Help! No display from system!

Just build my new system after RMAing the motherboard.
I know that the GPU works because it did before.
Specs:
3930K
ASRock X79 Extreme 3
ASUS GT610

I tried HDMI and DVI.
Also, all fans spin up.
It reacts to the reset CMOS button too.

The CPU cooler wasn't properly installed, and just held on by the forces of gravity.
All cables are plugged in.
I know the monitor works.
All the components worked the first time I built it, the only thing that changed is I got a case and a new motherboard.

1. Have you tried using the board's display ports?
2. "...held on by the force of gravity." Was this the case of the previous board, or the is it of the current one?
3. Why did you RMA the first board?
4. From what I understand, you tested the system using a test bench of some sort in the beginning?

Sorry for three questions. The more info we get, the better the advice ypu will get.

1) Gpu doesn't have a DP connection and X79 doesn't have integrated graphics
2) Only the case of this board, I lost the clips that screw into the backplate when I moved house
3) Board was RMAd because it had a faulty PCI-E lane
4) I originally used the motherboard box, but while the board was being RMAd I bought an NZXT Switch 810. The new system was built in the Switch while it was on its side to hold the CPU cooler on.

I bought some new clips for the cooler, they're coming on Wednesday.

Could it be a dead board?
I'll kill ASRock if it is.....
