New mouse recommendations

I have a Logitech g500 and want to upgrade to something better.

I love the shape of the g500, however, I would like to have something just a little bigger.

It needs to have a dual-mode scroll wheel.

I play a variety of games, and would like at least 3 buttons on the side.

I am looking at the g700s and it seems to match my needs but would like some feedback and a few recommendations.

I'd get the g602 rather than the g700s, because of the crappy battery in the g700s. I don't think you'll notice much difference in performance.

If I would use it wired, so I don't think battery would be a concern. The g602 does look really nice however the lack of dual mode mouse wheel is something that I would really miss.

got the g700s after my old g700 started to crap out on me. bought the g700 to replace my old mx revolution. I've always loved the shape of all three, and the inclusion of the dual mode scroll wheel after the rebranding to the g700 only made it better. I'm actually at a friend's place using his computer while he's on vacation and I try to change the scroll wheel mode on his razer naga more often than I care to admit. once you get used to it, every other mouse feels naked without it.

I recently purchased the G500s:

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g500s-laser-gaming-mouse

I have big hands and also like larger mice. It goes up to 8200 dpi or so lol.

So far it's been good, but you have to upgrade the firmware from the logitech site to get rid of some mouse cursor issues.

I change the mouse wheel so much I don't think I could ever go to a mouse without it.
Not sure about the g500s, it seems basically the same which is good but I was looking for something a little different.
The g700s is looking really tempting still.
Unless anyone has another recommendation that meets my requirements.

only issue I can possibly see is that the new 's' lineup of their mice has changed the grip texture slightly which makes it a bit grittier and almost a bit more dry feeling. I know that feeling puts my girlfriend off, but it's not an issue to me. just a heads up.

This is true. It feels like there are tiny little bumps were the thumb rests. Personally I like it, it gives me a better grip especially during long sweaty gaming sessions. But I know some people don't like it.

I don't know if you would like the size but I use a Genius Gila gaming mouse. It has a ton of buttons and great sensitivity. The software is decent but I will say I liked my Coolermaster Sentinel software way better. Anyway, its been a good mouse so far. I have had it for a few months now and no issues/problems so far. It is a bit smaller than the cooler master but I got used to that in less than a week. I use both of them side by side, one for my desktop and one for my laptop now and I have a hard time telling which I like better. Both are great. Hope this helps. Good luck, it can be hard to find just the right mouse. T
