Bamboo or Intuos 5?

I think I'd like to get a drawing tablet this year - maybe for Christmas. I do photoshop and premiere - primarily video and digital photography but would like to branch into digital art. I have been looking at both tablets and folks seem to be happy with either. The Intuous 5 I know has some additional features that can be useful in photoshop. The newegg review on the bamboos are positive but no has reviewed the Intuous 5s yet. Just looking for some feedback. Oh and monitor is a 24 inch 1080 - one of those newer Viewsonic IPS screens

Both in a league of their own; it's like comparing a desktop CPU to an Intel Extreme Edition. The Bamboo is aimed towards casual/beginner users while the Intuous, especially the 5, is geared towards the more professional end of the pipeline.
If you take PS/Graphic design seriously, or just have money to spend, or both for that matter, get the Intuous. If you see yourself using a tablet casually, maybe once a week, then I recommend the Bamboo.

I think money would be the deciding factor. I'm no graphics designer, but if someone offered me a Bamboo, and a 24HD, I would take the latter biggrin.gif

Thx for the input. After i made this post, I discovered the Huion 610 which seems to be nearly as good or as good as the Intuos based on various reviews - for a fraction of the pice. So that will probably what i will get.
