Asus Hero vs Deluxe

Thread Starter
Hi.

I am trying to decide between the two, or decide why I might want one over the other. I like the connectivity options for the deluxe, but the Hero seems to be highly popular and slightly less expensive.

Aside from the obvious differences (the sound capabilities of the hero, 10k caps) why might you choose one over the other? I also don't care at all about the colour schemes. They use different bios?

Most important factor for me is durability and stability. I won't be overclocking, components will be standard, will be using sli. Why does the deluxe cost more?

Thank you!

The Asus ROG Maximus Hero is the budget ROG board.
It still have the same premium quality as the other ROG boards but not much in features.
As for Hero, it is easy to overclock by tweaking some settings.
Use for performance and gaming. Can be use for other things too.

The Asus Deluxe Motherboard on the other hand is the 2nd top of the line of their premium normal motherboard.
It is much more efficient than the ROG Maximus Hero and their componets last long. (its debatable)
Asus Deluxe has Wifi and Bluetooth.

It's between Wifi/bluetooth or Sound quality

You'll be happy probably with either

I would go for Hero because its FX supreme audio is far better than the realtek.
Plus I love the simplicity looks of the board.

If you're not into audio or you don't care go with Asus Deluxe, it has wifi and bluetooth which to me I find very useful.

Why it's expensive, well the Asus "gold" line motherboard is like Asus "ROG" line motherboards
Least to best (excluding AMD)
ROG
Impact -> Hero or Gene -> Formula -> Extreme

Asus GOLD ( idon't know their gold motherboard to well)
... -> Deluxe -> Pro

ROG: Budget- the least
GOLD: 2nd top of the line
