Good/Cheap 2-bay NAS enclosure?

I'm in the process of putting together a local SAN/NAS device for my home network that will house all my data (media, personal files, vm/pc backups, etc.). I was going to pickup a 3-4TB external HD to do local backups of that device for just my most important data however I'm thinking if I'm going to have a local backup I might as well have some redundancy on it. Therefore it's led me to consider buying a 2-bay RAID enclosure to run a RAID1 mirror for my local backups. I don't need it to be fast as it's only going to be doing weekly or bi-weekly backups and once the initial backup is done it won't be backing up large amounts of data at a time. So I'm looking for something inexpensive (since I still will have to buy 2 HDD's to go in the enclosure) and would like to keep the total cost between the drives and enclosure under $350.

Any suggestions?

for $350 put together a cheap rig and run nas4free or freenas on it

great programs that can run easily on a p4 with 1 gig of ram and do what you want...(and a whole lot more)

Explain to me how you're building a cheap rig including 2x2-3TB drives for $350? Besides I'm looking to save space so a nice small 2-bay enclosure is what I'm looking for.

I read wrong I thought you had the drives and you were looking for a system for $~350

but to answer your question
here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1O1X8 ~$309 (and thats a little overkill for just backups)

EDIT: oops forgot PSU pick up a small 200w ~$30 and you've got it

or small foot print:

http://www.amazon.com/Dane-Elec-my-Ditto-Network-Server-MD-H102T2E23S/dp/B003DSQMQC

my office has used this for about a year and its been ok, not really all that feature rich but if you JUST want it for back up this will work fine (its off site access has been pretty crappy for me)

This looks ok. Has some good reviews also. Would be under budget with 2 TB drives but a little over with 3 TB drives.

I don't own one. I did look at a couple of reviews.
