Performance loss from 3570k to 3220?

Thread Starter
Harro everyone,

I recently acquired an Intel i3 3220 CPU for $40. I currently have an i5 3570K in my rig but am contemplating whether or not I should swap it out and sell it. I mainly do light Photoshop work (web design), watch movies, and browse YouTube. I certainly don't have any intentions of overclocking or video editing so my question is, will the I3 3220 be enough for my needs?

Thanks in advance for the help biggrin.gif.

That I3 will suit your needs just fineĀ :thumb:

You aren't getting anywhere close to taxing 4 threads, let alone 4 actual cores.

Here is good comparison between the two, http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/677?vs=701 Doesn't look like you'll lose too much performance, but I'll let you decide.
