Will a 280x with aftermarket cooling play nicely with a reference 7970?

Yes I know both can be crossfired, I'm referring to the two different fan designs, in my case I own a reference fan design 7970 and am interested in crossfiring with a 280x.

I'm only worried about the two cards having completely different fan coolers, would there be any problems? Such as one card sucking up more air than the other?

I would put the 7970 on the bottom since the tiny fan might have trouble sucking in enough air if there's another card blocking it.
