do you have two separate PC's with 2 7950's each? If so, that'd be a GREAT contribution smile.gif

Yep, but unfortunately the one with the FX8350 is currently apart and is in progress being revamped with some more water cooling gear. With my work schedule I am not sure if it will be up and running in time. I will try smile.gif

maybe 35-40ish (my guess?)

A 570 Oc'd to 580 level get around 45-50k ppd. But you're only going 12 hours, so half that and add another 10k for your CPU

Just an educated guess

I wish I could quote you on exact number but it really depends on what work units you get for the 570. If I had to guess off the top of my head I'd say ~25k points per day for the whole rig, but that would be a rough guess at best. The units for the 570 should finish in less than 12 hours, but I doubt anything you get for the i5 will. You don't get any points for incomplete WU's, so be sure to fold them to 100% and let the client upload the results to Stanford.

What you can do is just fire up both before the FAT to let the get little head start, and then set both GPU and CPU to "Finish". This will finish the WU they have and not download a new one. Why can/do you want to fold for only 12 hours anyways?

And every point makes a difference! Feel free to ask any more questions, the folding community on here is great!

Well the GPU is going to net you more PPD than the CPU for sure. The 570 should be good for about 15K PPD, but at 300+ Watts of power consumption I can see why you're hesitant to just let it chug away for two days.

I'm just gonna throw this out there, my GTX 760 gets about 60K PPD and only pulls 150W under load... maybe it's time for a new card and you can fold 24/7 rolleyes.gif Teem Competition is always looking for new folders!

Very, very nice. I was so close to buying a 770, but I couldn't justify the "small" performance bump for the 60% cost increase... but damn is that QRB treating you nice! That's 60% more PPD than me so I guess it scales pretty evenly!

Yeah I don't always fold at night so I like smashing out work units fast so I can turn my computer off. Just glad I can contribute to the cause.
