Ive been looking arround for a while and theres no way get it to work. I installed python-xkit_0.4.2.3build1_all.deb
Then jockey-common_0.9.7-0ubuntu7_all.deb
After that installed libc6_2.15-0ubuntu20_i386.deb
Got an error becouse packpage is i386(32bit) not an amd64 (64bit) one. After that fail I managed to download the amd64 versions. And got this message when tried to install it :
Code:
dani@CrunchyLappy:~/downloads$ sudo dpkg -i libc-bin_2.15-0ubuntu20_amd64.deb

Did you enable multi-arch?

There are a few scripts to get it to work, but honestly your easiest bet is updating your repositories to Debian testing ( Crunchbang is Debian Stable by default ). It's safe for the most part, I run Debian testing currently just fine for everything I do. Steam is in the testing repository, but not in the stable, which is why it takes a bit to get things working in stable.

If you go that route it's as simple as changing your /etc/apt/sources.list to testing or "jessie" instead of stable or "wheezy". Then you just run;

# apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
# dpkg --add-architecture i386
# apt-get update && apt-get install libgl1-nvidia-glx:i386
# apt-get install steam

-Or-

You could set up a temporary hybrid system to install steam from the testing repo without updating the entire system.

Both imo are easier than some of the scripts currently available to install Steam on Debian stable.
