Hello members!,

I have been kind of busy this relaxing sunday in overclocking my Sapphire HD7950 Vapor-X.

Before I went and started I first looked around on the internet at what for speeds this card should get. One thing ill point out is that some review websites show overclock results that I can't even get? ill get instant crashes so I find this strange. Maybe someone can tell why? biggrin.gif

So I went on and got to the following overclock:

Core: 1190
Memory: 1450
Power limit: +20
Core voltage: 1250 (Constant voltage trough MSI)

This seems right so I went on and ran Catzilla which showed a nice score and nothing bad at all like artifacts or strange flickering. From that I launched OCCT and ran a error scan for a infinite time but about 1 min it it already showed that it found 600 errors.

So my main question from this is: Is the card stable or not? I didn't get any hard crashes so everything did work.

Then my MAIN question really is:

What other settings can this card get? as I said at the start some review websites show that the core can go up to 1200mhz and 1600 on the memory but this won't work for me because MSI can't go past 1575 so why are those reviews so off? redface.gif

Hope to see some useful tips from you guys biggrin.gif

Greetings,

Robert Oortwijn

Edit:

Regarding which exact model where talking about here is the link to their website:
