What is your maximum budget?
£700

What country are you in?
England

What will be the uses of this laptop?
Programming, web browsing and watching movies. No gaming

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you?
No

What screen size do you require?
Not fussed, although 11" would be a little small

What screen resolution do you require?
Not fussed

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay?
New preferably

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet)
The longer the better but I'd choose weight over battery life

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings?
None

What operating system do you need? (if any)
Preferably windows

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.)
Nope

How much hard drive space do you need?
500Gb should be fine

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.)
Nope

Is there anything else we need to know?
Think that's everything

I recently bought one of these and it is a monster http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dell-Inspiron-17r-7720-Laptop-3-4ghz-i7-1TB-8GB-2GB-GT-650m-FULL-HD-BLURAY-/300987487345?pt=UK_Computing_Laptops_EH&hash=item4614409471
Space for two HDD's - I added a 240GB SSD (which I already had) to mine and bootup from PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON is 19 seconds! It has 3 x USB 3.0 ports and a very powerful GPU. Slightly heavy mind you.
Here's mine

620 Pounds (Clearance?)

639 Pounds

13" 1336x768, AMD APU, 4GB, 128GB SSD
472 Pounds w/out Touch
536 Pounds w/ Touch

Small selection of portable light laptops.
My personal favourite is the Sony. Provides the most bang for your buck in a semi light weight package.
The Sony vs ASUS both are good options, both built well but the ASUS will be more powerful if you need more oomph. Sasmsung is rather good value for money considering it comes with a SSD and looks beautiful.

Probably should have stated that I have an AlienWare monster laptop that I use for graphic rendering, just need something portable

Thanks i'll take a look

EDIT: The Sony looks a little chunky, probably due to the i7, compared to the ASUS. The Samsung is rocking a "Quad core" which puts me off. I personally think that the ASUS looks amazing and so thin. Again thanks thumb.gif
