8800 Gtx Working!!!! Help Though

Thread Starter
Hey guys, finally, after two hours, I installed my new power supply and video card. Only worry here is that in nTune, it shows my GPU as Memory Bus at 900 MHz, though, it should run at a clock of 1800 MHz.
Any reasons?

I don't know, it doesn't say wether it's 2D Mode or 3D Mode, but you might be right though.

That's fine. 900MHz = 1800 DDR

Well, 900MHZ DDR = 1800 MHZ

But yeah, twisteddboi has the right idea, your clocks are fine. DDR transfers on the rising and falling edge of the clock cycle, as such, your effective speed is twice your speed in mhz.

DDR Memory means Double Data Rate, so in actuality, the 900 MHz is running twice each given amount of time in that clock cycle making it 1800MHz per clock cycle/given amount of time.

8800GTX and a 650? Oh gosh, I bet you're not even braking the 9000 3DMark06.

Will you try to overclock the GTX anytime soon? BTW, what are the idle and load temps on those cards?

I don't know but my temps are really low, I got a nice airflow in the case, and according to ntune, the temp is 48 c idle and around 55 in use, lower that my 7800 GTX!!! With of course, 100% fans enabled all the time. I know about my 650, it sucks, but my motherboard doesn't support Core 2 Duo, trust me, if it supported it, I would have bought a new CPU before the new GPU, I didn't want to switch mobos too lol.

Oh.. Meh. I don't know specifics, only general ideas.
