My incomplete sleeving!

24pin is sleeved! 8pin is sleeved! it's been 6months

While I used UV Green Paracord, and I did not make it as neat and smooth as these sleeves you see in builds/websites. it looks great, just not every single cord is perfect.

Anyway

http://www.corsair.com/en/professional-individually-sleeved-dc-cable-kit-type-3-generation-2-green.html

I found this, I know it's not UV green which I would love it to be, but does anyone know a place I can get legit UV Green pre sleeved cables for a cheap price like this? Corsairs price Is ridiculously cheap, now I don't know exactly what they use but for cutting around the corners its hard to beat.... I have seasonic x750 psu and while i'm not looking to drop massive cash, If I upgrade my case I'm looking to finish the sleeving!

where did you order the sleeving you have now from?

honestly it's going to be pretty tough to find a pre sleeved extension/modular cable in the exact colour you want, especially at that price.

aside from paying a professional sleever to do it for you, i'd say just focus and finish the psu your self. I know how hard that can be though if your attention span is anything like mine lol

I got the paracord from amazon, I would sleeve but I cant make mine like the ones I see in photos. Perfectly aligned and placed ya know... Mine is all crinkly and a tad messy smile.gif
If I could get one like the link above I might just get rid of mine and use that, I'd rather have a very neat looking one that isn't UV reactive then one that glows a little bit.
Problem is I did heatshrinkless and the double wires is impossible to do unless I spend an extra $100 for supplies frown.gif

thank you for posting smile.gif that corsair one looks like a good deal through right? Price wise I can't find anything to beat it

sorry for the late reply.

Yes absolutely those cables are worth the money, the labour you would have to put in alone would make them more than worth it.

I bought red and black extensions from a local shop here after attempting to sleeve my own psu and now ill never look back! Go for it thumb.gif

Being careful when cutting the wire to length and stripping the insulation helps getting alignment accurate.

Also cutting one row of wires slightly longer than the other means you can get a curve to the whole cable.

Stretching the sleeve as much as possible before tacking it to the pins stops it looking crinkly.

Practice helps. Although some people are perfect right from the start (I wasn't one of them) practising a lot helps with the final result.

Yeah. im seeing the labor+money spent to get a MILD green glow from UV light is not nearly close as nice as having those cables tongue.gif

Yeah I hear you smile.gif My problem is the bent psu wires making it look all crinkly, not improper or different sized sleeving tongue.gif

I guess I can't even use the corsair ax series on the seasonic x, I had read somewhere that you could but can't seem to find any fact frown.gif

If you compare the pinouts on the Seasonic X-750 and the Corsair AX-750 in the Repository then the 24 pin cable seems to have exactly the same layout on each.

Unfortunately there isn't the pinouts for the other AX-750 cables to compare but if you use a multi-meter you should be able to work which is which and if necessary remove and relocate the wires.

If you need alternative connectors then Lutro0 stocks what you need.

If you do plan to try this out I also recommend getting a Thermaltake DR Power II to check the cables before use.
