ASUS R9 280x Backplates... hmm.

Alright, im very certain i'll be purchasing the ASUS R9 280x DirectCUII TOP (3GB) very soon. I've noticed that it doesn't come equipped with a backplate. Im not sure if ASUS will soon provide backplates as a separate accessory, what do you guys think?

I'm wondering the same.
I read that the Matrix is louder than this version of the card, so it would be nice to purchase the ASUS R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 (no back plate) and add it on later
