It's a Mountain Mods Ascension... and it was very well packed and wrapped:

..

Lots of room for fans:

The mobo is an enhanced e-atx (Supermicro x9dax-7f) .. but it fits on the e-atx tray with some modifications:

With just enough room for one double slot 16 X pci-e card, but only one should be needed:

Welcome aboard Alpenwasser... and just for you, some of the wetwear arrived today:

I like this dual d5 top from Bitspower... allows the d5 pumps to work in 'serial'. First pump primes the second and results in a lot better output!!

And 3 out of 4 of the ram fans fit. The slot (circled in red) requires a bit of a mod of the fan mounting clasp to fit between the usb output stacks on the back plate:

I do love myself some 2CPU and W/C goodness. Ever since getting an SR-2 my gut feeling has kinda
formed the opinion that single-CPU systems are underequipped. rolleyes.gif

Why the RAM fans though? Don't they make lots of noise (or is that not of high importance)?
How about W/C the RAM? That would look beast! biggrin.gif

Water cool the ram? Not a bad idea!!

I've never built around this board before, and will o/c the RAM to 1866MHz, but I don't know how stable that will be or how much RAM I want to add at this point in time. Perhaps I'll go with the first set I have purchased or perhaps I'll by more or a different manufacturer... so at this time, I'm not comfortable building water around the RAM.

I may not need the fans, or they may be really useful. If I don't like them, they can come out wink.gif

BTW, very sweet SR-2. My first dual cpu zeon was an old HP workstation... I loved it so I moved up to an ASUS z7s ws followed by a skulltrail. I am in the middle of another skulltrail build, which was stalled when I realised I needed more cpu power, so I researched this one and started it. I have a skully in service, and when it fails I will complete my current skully build (fully underwater with Danger Den blocks).....

Best,

FlashG
