Ahh yes, you have an Intel graphics chip. I don't think Intel have proprietary drivers, however the has been an update to the graphics acceleration on that chipset in ArchLinux that *might* be applicable for Ubuntu as well:

Don't follow that guide verbatim though because it's for a completely different Linux distro, but do use that to do more research into Ubuntu to see if the UXA / SNA change is relevant for Ubuntu.
