2 x 270x or single 280x ? - Page 2

yeah im beginning to like the toxic more and more... however ...
They say that a 750W PSU is required ... is this for real ? seems exaggerated even for such a card... a damn SLI of 760s/270x only ask for 700W. ...
Also if like 3 months from now if i want to crossfire i would have to find the exact same toxic version ? or will any 280x work ?

well 700w are plenty for one r9 280x. but when you get a second you are going to need 800-850w to have some overclocking headroom. Also any r9 280x model can be crossfired, but the slower one will drag the other one down. i suggest you buy another r9 280xtoxic in the future. it will also look awesome!

Also the9 280x is rated at 250 TDP which as the HD 7970 is rated 300 and it can be run by a quality 650 psu .
