if ya hold the 36 gig version in ya hand and defrag or sumink, does it make really loud noises?
if not then the grinding must be the case amplifying it...it happened in my old PC

I did have slight noise, but nothing ever bad.. i installed a HD cooler that silenced the noise... Great hard drive!!

how much faster dus windows, apps n games load up?
4.6 ms seek times is amazing
has anyone herd of those hybrid hard drives coming out soon?

windows loads up pretty fast.... faster than with one hdd or a 7200 rpm raid...

those hybrid drives are starting out in the laptop world because if the extended battery life they say it has to offer... im not really sure if those drives load up faster than normal drives. I don't think that the flash chip on those drives really offer a performance in speed, but more in saving battery life
