Cannot connect to wireless on Dlink DAP 1522 AP

Thread Starter
I recently moved into a new apartment and needed to get wifi, I picked up a D-link 1522 AP/Bridge because I was told I would have wifi access. long story short, I bought the device, moved in, and then was told I am getting my own connection. So I went to set it up, and cannot get the 1522 to work correctly. At one point I was able to connect to the network, but had no internet access. Currently it is configured like this: cable modem>>>>>DAP 1522 >>>>Desktop. I have a connection on my desktop, but no connection on wifi. Can someone help me out?

So your desktop is hardwired into the WAP and working?
Your {insert device here} is wireless and not working?

Is the WAP broadcasting an SSID that you can see but can't connect to?

Yes my desktop is hardwired to the wap and working fine. I have tried connecting to the wireless network i created using my phone and ps3, neither of them would connect. I enabled dhcp and was able to connect to the network on my phone, but had no access to the internet.

So devices can see the SSID and connect to the wireless network. Is it on the same subnet as the hardwired network (ie: 192.168.1.1) or two different networks (ie: 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1)?

Seems like wireless works but machines just can't get to the Internet?
