I played the beta for a little last night and just couldn't help that this will be Destiny 2.0.

Once you run all of the side missions and main missions you'll be left running the same missions like Madison Hospital or the Dark Zone over and over until you're bored.
Just like Destiny, the game mechanics are good, but it's going to end up being a repetitive DLC fest. 3 DLC packs are already planned.
They've already cut out a ton of content so they can sell it back to you as DLC. Sound familiar?

Yep. I got that feeling as well. I got bored quite fast. That is ignoring the shooting, movement and cover mechanics which i think arent very good at all. The enemy A.I is shocking at times as well. The missions were kinda boring, the side "missions" which felt more like events were rather meh as well.

The Dark Zone was kinda boring for me. It just felt like something that requires you to be in a group. Just getting ganked by groups of people isnt very fun in my opinion. I have a feeling a good 40-50% of the potential content has been cut out and left for DLC and expansions. I really do think that the game will die off rather fast. Maybe a couple of months but thats about it. Glad i played the BETA. The little amount of interest i had in the game before has gone after playing that.

A couple of months ago I bought The Order 1886. I got it quite cheap for 12€ and since I ordered another game I needed to add one to be eligible for the coupon. I finally came around to play it after I switched my 27'' monitor to a TV, got a new seating furniture piece and finished other games.

My opinion on The Order 1886.

Pros :

- Great graphics. Absolutely stunning for a console.

- Setting is okay I guess. London looks good.

- Framerate . Yes it only runs at 30 fps, but it runs very smooth with absolutely no drops or any stuttering. In terms of frame pacing it is good.

- I did not pay full price.

- I won't fall for buying a sequel. So basically future-me will save time and money.

Cons :

- Gameplay. Well as much as I tried to like the game and be objective about it, I just couldn't. It is annoyingly bad, boring and most of the time you walk around doing nothing. Yes walking. There are sections where you can't run faster and it is tiresome.
The "puzzles" are as simple as they could be. Actually it is an insult to call them puzzles. Basically just push 1 Quick Time Event button and go on. The 2 toys you get to unlock doors and electricity are just bad and feel completely underwhelming.
And let us not forget the Quick Time Event fights. Most of the time I died the first time the quick time event popped up, because I was nearly sleeping out of boredom and it suddenly popped up on my screen and before I could press the button I was dead.

- Gunplay. Shooting feels horrible and aiming is torture. I decided to play with Auto-Aim off, because aiming is all that this game has to offer in terms of gameplay.

- Story and character progression. Basically non-existant. Superficial and absolutely no depth to any of it.

- Length. The game is short and actually I should put it under pros, because you waste less time with this game. Even though you only play for 6-7 hours to finish the game it feels like you just spent 150 hours of your life on that mess.

- Depth of Field and Motion Blur. This is the single biggest mistake I've ever seen in my life. There is no option to turn either off. The game looks amazing, but as soon as you move the camera motion blur kicks in and a greasy mud appears on your screen and it is hard to make out stuff.
Same for Depth of Field. You are behind cover and can't make out anything. Even a short time after you move out you are still the victim of bad Depth of Field. It was hard for me to make out the enemy and shoot stuff. So at time I was wondering when I came out of cover if it was a barrel or actually an enemy.

- Size of subtitles/letters and writing in general. I couldn't read the subtitles. The black bars and the size made it nearly impossible. They are very small.

- Resolution. I wonder whos idea it was to make that game 21:9 with huge black bars top and bottom. It is absolutely horrible and the main reason why stuff like subtitles and writing appears to be so small. 16:9 would've been just fine

- Enjoyment. The game is simply not fun. I was happy when it was over. Not because it will be a great memory, but I finally got it over with. Like history class in school.

- Pacing. Game feels like it is 30% moving at a slow pace doing nothing. 30% watching cutscenes and 40% horrible shooting. The transitions are awful and the game never really makes me wonder what is happening next.

Conclusion :

The Order 1886 is a terrible game. It feels like the developers love movies, but are heavily confused by the nature of what makes a game fun and how it differs from a movie to engange and mesmerize the player. Poor editing and cuts go hand in hand with the underwhelming gameplay and everything is wrapped into a technically wonderful present if it werent for the greasy stains left on the gift wrap.

Yeah...I was super disappointed playing it as I was so excited for it (I haven't even changed my avatar since it was announced; that excited). It tried to go in so many different directions. You could see where their Uncharted roots came out, but then they wanted to try and be a gritty 3rd person shooter like GoW, and then more. The story was so EMPTY for a 8-10 hour game and had no climax until the very end. They did good on hyping the game up beforehand and I was even stoked after reading about it in Game Informer a while back, but I pretty much agree with all that you said. Thankfully it was short enough I could still finish it,

It's the first game I've bought, and beat so quickly, I was able to use GameStop's return policy on because it was so short. Like the associates there weren't even mad and totally understood.

PS Plus is killing me with the March lineup.
The vast majority of PS+ games are just Indie tittles that either don't interest me or I've already played on Steam.

Most of the full games I do play are single player anyway, so PS+ is becoming more useless to me as time goes on.
If it wasn't for the fact someone gave me a $20 PS card I might not even have renewed it TBH.

I have always been a Plus supporter but enough is enough. But the damn online play is making me stay on Plus.

I would literally rather them giving a very good game every 3 months and never bother with other games.

A lot of months. This line up (for me) is the worse PS Plus line up in the PS Plus history.,,Some dude said you can play these games online on some java sites or something.
