Seriously though, unless sony plans on only making stick figure style games for the PSVR they have to upgrade. 4k games ..... yesh, thats going to be interesting when i see how my titan struggles with 4k. It will also allow Sony to stay current for a number of years to come ... more so than if they held to a 7 year refresh.
If so ill just sell mine before the market is flooded with them. Im jumping on the VR bandwagon and no PS4 is gonna hold me back
You are exactly right, they'll have to offer an upgrade solution and it'll be premature from a whole community standpoint.
Here's the ultimate issue, there's too many platforms and the platform-to-gamer ratio just gets worse with not only platform alternatives, but obviously DLC. The community is already way too divided as it is. Add to the fact that these two newer consoles are so underwhelming especially with VR and 4K blowing their trumpets.
This is why the consoles needed to be much better than they are. They needed to last so the communities last. Software and hardware developers are going about this all wrong right now and the snowball effect is slowly picking up speed.
The amount of single player gamers here on OCN seems to far outweighs the online competitive gamer. That's just not the case overall gaming as a whole. Online multiplayer is by far what brings in the cash and that market is much larger. So every time something new comes along prematurely whether it be hardware or software DLC, it divides the community and the heard thins and thins till a brand new problem exists.
My evil side thinks that if this continues, people will wise up, move to PC and then we can all win together lol.
