Nowadays the realism in graphics depends mostly on the implementation of lighting, and it's not done correctly here. The cars seem not to bond well with the track, like they're floating on it. The simplicity of the colors on the dashboard in the first video makes it look very fake. In general, it feels like watching a better version of those old arcade racing games on coin machines.
I know I've seen more beautiful vids of this game so I guess it depends on the terrain of the track and the weather/time. This leads me to the previous conclusion, that the lighting is to blame.
Hopefully the gameplay is worth it.
You clearly haven't played the game. There literally isn't a game that's PRE ALPHA that stands anywhere near the way this game looks in motion on PC. It's absolutely beautiful and the driving feels pretty good even though it's still pre alpha. Most the tracks and cars aren't even finished yet! You have a twisted sense of reality if you think this is some half arsed arcade racer. Totally unjustified opinions based on nothing but conjecture.

Listen to that audio in the first video. The engine exhaust, gear shifting, and turbo chargers are so out of sync it was a bit disgusting. Also, very minimal tire noise for those high speed turns.
The interior and gauge cluster looked nice but the race track itself was very lackluster like something from Gran Turismo 5 or Forza 4 but with anti aliasing. The lack of detail on the sidelines leave it feeling very empty and not imserive at all.
Look how far the steering wheel turns for a high speed, long turn. You would crash and burn hard if you did that at those speeds.
You could make the argument that this is pre-release and not final product but I doubt allot of the faults I see would ever change.
From what I'v seen it just doesn't put out as much as something like Forza 5 can offer, even being a console game.
That's totally down to this video because on my PC everything is in sync. If you've ever driven a race car that has a straight pipe you'd know there is little chance of hearing tyre noise from in the cockpit. Plus this is still Pre alpha, 80% of this stuff is place holder.

This game as a LONG way to go. It isn't remotely close to being a realistic racer. All it looks like right now is an arcade racer, which has no physics simulation involved (unrealistic).
Maybe my standards are too high for a realistic racing game, but right now, this looks like crap (even viewing the video on native 1440p).
Yes it does take into effect gravity and it takes into effect weight distribution per wheel etc. I have no idea where you are getting this information from but it's clearly not from playing the game. Apparently your standards are for a game that doesn't exist because I have no idea what you are basing these opinions against, again - there currently isn't a game like this in terms of ascetics.

Xfire/SLI is not a major focus for a game, and i repeat for the fourth time IS CURRENTLY IN PRE ALPHA

Im looking forward to testing this game when its done, I just can't get behind the idea of playing a ever changing (weekly?) sim.
I generally only play it a few times a month so I don't burn out on it and give them a chance to add new stuff.
Most people in this thread are basing opinions on nothing more than watching some Youtube videos without even playing the game first! Typical internet poo talking nonsense..
