[DS] Project CARS Welcomes Us To Next-Gen Era (Ultra settings + DX11.1) - Page 6

It's below standards in terms of comparing to iracing imo, but i'm sure it should get better with community feed back. Game was working with 580 sli pretty well.

I'm not paying for extra cars and extra crap.

I just want to buy the game. Not individual cars and tracks.

Free to play gone wrong, played it but the MS sucks.

Yup, I properly detest this new f2p but pay over the odds for content that seems to be the in thing. I like to buy a game and that's that.

still not realistic enough ;p

As somebody interested in the game, I have to ask.

Every time a video is posted with an incremental update, people shout "It's still pre alpha, give it time" when responding to any criticisms. How long is it going to take before the builds are representative of the final game? The game will have to be finalized eventually and realized. Will that take another year, 2, 3, 4 years? At some point the game will need to become a full blown product instead of a polished project.

Before anybody jumps down my throat, I'm not bashing the game, I'm very interested. The updates are nice, but the game can't stay in pre alpha stages forever.

I would probably say close to a year based on the current implemented content and they are talking about cutting development for the 360 and PS3 and releasing on next-gen consoles instead. That's the problem with these early access / kickstarter games.. literally having to defend them based on the fact they are unfinished is stupid but at the same time you want people to be excited about something you see massive potential in and it's kind of annoying when people slate it based on conjecture & just to get a rise out of people.

Sli works with custom sli profile, looks amazing and runs great. As mentioned before its still in alpha stage, some cars are missing interiors, tracks are missing textures etc, but looks promising to me.

Here is the link for the sli profile :http://forum.wmdportal.com/showthread.php?13816-Homebrewed-SLI-Profile-need-your-feedback

I believe they're currently talking around Nov 2014. You have to realize that in standard game development, all of this goes on behind the scenes for a couple years before they actually show us anything. With a crowdfunded game like this, we've been able to see everything from the beginning so it just seems like things are taking a long time to get done. This month marks 2 years of development, and theres another 11-13 months to go.
