Translated my Drivers
Oh one more thing, PCOnline report that they will make a full review of the 290X soon, maybe tomorrow. http://diy.pconline.com.cn/362/3620198.html

Worthy of note that I didn't see anyone else bring up... if you read on in that article from my drivers... you'll find this interesting little nugget:
Quote:
The new 3DMark Fire Strike mode test scores is 4605 points, very close to the 4634 GTX Titan points, significantly higher than the GTX 780 to 4264 points.

Also note that this test is a test drive with a drive, it is expected for the next official version of the driver but also bring some performance improvement.

Obviously I don't know Chinese, but Google translate is known to not be close to perfect at grammar in foreign and dead languages. My take on that is essentially that this test run was with a later stage beta driver, not the finalized update for the launch drivers which means it could potentially match or pass the Titan... also, the OC given for the 290X seems to very likely be an aftermarket OC boost card's stock settings... I'm pretty sure that these will be easily capable of better overclocks than that, especially after replacing the reference coolers and seeing aftermarket cards (Gigabyte's Windforce 3 cooler, Sapphire's Vapor-x system, HIS's Ice X2 Turbo, etc... let alone putting the 290X under water). It seems that with driver updates, better cooling, and some fine tuning, the 290X will be quite capable of edging out the Titan, perhaps of even providing a pretty competitive alternative to the Titan Ultra for those that would rather spend ~$600 rather than ~$900-1,000 for a GPU.

As far as all the people saying "blah blah blah about Titan/780 being out this long of course AMD should be able to match it and beat it, yada yada bs bs"... Think about this for a second... is it worth all the R&D money spent of making a new GPU series when you don't know what your competitor is about to put out? Of course not... you might have the rough idea of where they're headed but you're best suited to be in the early stages of development and planning when your competition launches a product... that way you know exactly where the bar is set and what you must do to beat it... It's called innovation, and without competition any market becomes extremely stagnant with little innovation... point in case... Intel CPUs over the last 5 years.

Stop the silly drivel and be practical here... Cardinal rule of any tech business is to find ways to keep the money coming in every month while you're gearing up your next big product. It's the way it is and needs to be...

because the title isn't based on the images in the first post

they need to update the images
or
remove the "slower than titan" in the title

need to do one or the other

ALATAR rating performance is not the same as the benchmark u posted...
Radeon cards usually do lower on that benchmark but gaming wise they are even or superior to Nvidia counter part

nice try... changing the title that no one asked u to change.

Nice try going after Alatar, that needs to fall out of vogue, seriously. 5entinel changed it after I vetted and submitted to him the retranslated title myself; Google made a giant mess of it so I worked on it for a little bit using what little I knew. Using the MyDrivers title was due to there being no sources linked for the embedded images. It'll be changed appropriately once the links are provided.
