6970 Upgrade or wait?

Thread Starter
I'm looking at the crazy good prices on the Sapphire 7970s on Newegg and I'm wondering what opinions are out there concerning upgrading from my current Sapphire 6970s to 7970? If anyone is wondering I'm looking at the OEM spec Sapphire 7970.

So upgrade or wait for the R290 or pick up two R280s? If I do upgrade it will be two cards.

Well they do very well in BF3 and the BF4 beta but this is OCN and you can never have to much GPU power right?

My concern with R290 line is the price on them. Fro all we know they will retail for more than the $550 to $600 ppl keep throwing around.
